Cleanroom Socks

The proposed update to Annex 1 states “It is recommended that... dedicated socks be worn
before entry to change rooms for grade C and B.” The one item currently rarely changed when entering the cleanroom is socks.

They may harbour bacteria, pet hair, carpet fibres and are then placed in cleanroom clogs or shoes and pose a risk to contamination control. With various styles of cleanroom compatible socks available both comfort and cleanliness are assured.
