Our first UK care homes laundry facility, located in Bridgwater
We understand just how much care home residents treasure their personal belongings, and clothing items are no exception.
Garments lost or misplaced during in-house laundering can be a cause of distress, and the time spent searching for these can have an adverse effect on care levels.
That’s why we have opened our first UK laundry facility dedicated exclusively to care homes and residents’ clothing.
Located in Bridgwater, with excellent links to major transport links, it will enable us to extend our laundry services to care homes across the country.
With our professional laundry service, you can be confident that all residents’ clothing is in safe hands throughout the entire process.
Fully traceable
Each resident is provided with their own dedicated mesh bags for laundering, with separate bags available for delicate fabrics. Each bag is labelled with the resident’s name and a unique QR code.
Bags are collected by our driver and scanned in on arrival at our facilities, before being tracked through the washing, drying and finishing procedures and carefully wrapped and returned.
Hygienically clean
All the residents’ items are processed in line with EN 14065 requirements for the highest standards of infection control, giving peace of mind that garments are not just clean, but hygienically clean.
The benefits of using a commercial laundry
-
Better use of staff resources
With increasing wage costs, staff resources are precious. Outsourcing laundry services means better use of time, so your staff can focus on caring for residents.
-
Greater control of your budget
One regular monthly cost for simplified financial forecasting, and no need for capital investment in items such as flat linen, freeing up spend for other priorities.
-
Lower insurance premiums
Insurance premiums will potentially be lower, due to the reduced risk of fire or injury from laundry equipment within the care home.
-
Less hassle
No need to worry about machine hire or maintenance, or deal with the implications if equipment breaks down.
-
More space
Use your existing in-house laundry space for other operational activities, storage, enhanced facilities for residents or even to generate additional revenue through increased bed space.
